Barton Gate Charity Steam Rally (Previously Doveridge Steam & Vintage Charity Rally) was set up to raise money for Ward 31 at the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary following a serious motorcycle accident involving a son of the Hutton family. The Hutton family and friends wanted a way in which they could repay the hospital for their kindness and hard work. As the family had always been involved in steam preservation, it seemed a natural way in which they could raise money, but also encourage others to join the preservation movement.

The event had been running since 1995 and has raised over £20,000 for local charities.

A lot of hard work goes into organising the rally and we appreciate the support of visitors and exhibitors alike.

We hope you enjoy browsing this site and look forward to seeing you at the next event.
